Safe, Legal and Convenient.
Any driver on UK roads SHOULD have taken and passed a driving test, or are taking driving lessons.
During the "Learning Period" drivers are taught about consideration to everyone when out in a car.
That will mean giving space when passing a cyclist or horse, Looking out for pedestrian who may be crossing a road,
being considerate to other road users at any given time that might help someone else out.
Learners are NEVER taught to be inconsiderate to others, and part of the driving test is seeing that you understand this.
Driving as a defensive driver not a competitive one, showing that you know the rules of the road and that what you know complies to the rules of the Highway Code.
When a driving examiner asks a learner to pull up alongside a kerb, they will ask them to
"find a safe place to pull up on the right or left hand side of the road"
When they use the word "SAFE" they mean SAFE, LEGAL AND CONVENIENT.
If you see things that other drivers do that annoy you, please ensure you don't become that driver yourself.
The more cars there are on the road, the more drivers need to be conscientiously considerate.
Laziness, Entitlement, Ignorance, Arrogance, Lateness, and just General Inconsideration
are all no excuse for breaking the law.
All you achieve by doing this is cause a nuisance, possibly end up being the cause of an accident,
entice anger or even road rage from other drivers.
You can be the cause of emergency services not making it somewhere on time
(imagine how you'd feel if it was a family member they didn't make it to!)
And are possibly looking at penalty points on your licence as well as a fixed penalty notice
